Anyone can make & take home a beautiful and exciting pot in this workshop, without any experience in pottery! Everyone went home with a pot they were happy with at the end of the workshop!
Sergei is extremely knowledgeable and you are in good hands if you enroll. He made it easy to understand the basics of this fairly complicated process.
Claytalk is as always, a comfortable, fun atmosphere and there's a relaxed sense of community among the potters/workshop-goers that's always wonderful.
I loved that the workshop and the firing process didn't feel rushed - there was time to explain each stage of the firing, without any rush or panic. Everything was comfortably safe, masks were provided to protect against smoke, and instructions were clear about when/how it was safe to handle the pots.
I would advise bringing goggles/safety glasses if you're attending as on windy days the smoke can be swept into your eyes.
