Today was more than a workshop—it was a journey.
We didn’t just glaze pots. We were guided through the ancient history of Japanese Raku—the Shoguns, the rituals, the reverence. It gave every step of the process meaning. You could feel it in the silence, in the smoke, in the waiting.
Then came the fire—1000 degrees of transformation. Watching our pieces go into the furnace felt ceremonial, almost sacred. And when mine emerged?
Blues like twilight skies, reds like molten earth, streaks of gold—and to my surprise, flashes of hot pink, glowing like joy caught off guard. It was a moment I’ll never forget. That vase now holds more than color. It holds truth.
The facilitators were warm, wise, and deeply connected to the practice. I felt safe, seen, and inspired.
This wasn’t just about pottery.
This was about presence, legacy, and letting go.
Thank you for one of the most beautiful experiences of my life.
I’ll be back—with clay in my hands and wonder in my heart.
